This log cabin has been meticulously restored and is privately sited at the end of a long driveway, perched on a hillside, adjoining a 100 acre neighboring property. The combination of woods and open space lends itself for exploring and an abundance of outdoor living. Step onto the dance floor sized deck with plenty of room for a large gathering that can spill over to some of the outdoor spaces. The screened porch will accommodate a sudden change in the weather with access to the barbecue and leads into the house itself. An open concept interior gives flexibility for your particular lifestyle needs. The kitchen, complete with handcrafted cabinets fashioned from locally sourced and milled lumber blends so beautifully with the Vermont logs of the interior. The dining area seamlessly adjoins the kitchen workspace and can accommodate a sizable dinner or holiday party. A central wood-stove will keep you cozy on those chilly days when you're not quite ready to turn on your regular heat. The focal point is the massive stone fireplace located at the far end of the house and from what I recall was most likely built from stones gathered from the property. The setting of the fireplace has a dual design and function: There's an awesome gathering pit which is currently filled with pillows to make for a cozy spot to enjoy the fire and have a glass of wine. When the weather warms, there's a platform constructed by the current owner to close the pit and transform the space for a new season.
